Nintendo announces 2DS

Nintendo announces 2DS
  • On August 28, 2013

Nintendo’s calendar is broken; April is a few months away.

On October 12th, Nintendo is releasing the 2DS for $129. It plays 3DS games, only it doesn’t show the games in 3D. It is 2D only. It also features a flat, non-folding, screen exposing design.

Nintendo is loosing their collective mind. I have so many questions. What is this? What are they thinking? Who is it for? Do I need a case for it? How am I supposed to play Mario 3D Land in 2D? Also, could the naming be anymore confusing for the average person? Someone please explain this to me. I just don’t get it. I loved you, Nintendo. Stop making it so difficult for me to love you again.

The dang thing is marketed to a different audience than you! It might not fit your needs but it fits the needs of the younglings and their oldings pocket books. Taking away the fold not only saves money by avoiding the costly materials like the ribbon wiring around the hinges, but also saves parents the money of replacing it when their >7 year old inevitably breaks it. Besides that, it’s cheaper and will probably sell more to college kids than anyone! They’re as poor as 7 year olds.
