Long live Steve Jobs
Steve Jobs was a cherished innovator and genius who’s legacy can be found in nearly every aspect of modern technology. His passion and vision helped shaped personal computing in every way, from using a mouse to having a computer with you wherever you go, in your pocket.Jobs founded Apple Computers in 1976 with Steve Wozniak with the goal of creating a useable computer for everyday people. The Apple II enjoyed some mild success but it was in 1984 that the Macintosh really took off. Jobs was then forced out of the company in a power struggle with John Scully.
Before returning to Apple in 1996, Steve helped build Pixar Animation Studios before the company made the transcendent “Toy Story.” Once back at Apple, he became a true icon with an avaunt-garde approach to technology. His steadfast dedication to minimalist design, accessible user experience and quality elevated his products and challenged the status quo.
Steven P. Jobs died on October 5, 2011. He was 56. He will be dearly missed.
