X-Men: First Class should really be called X-Men: Rise of Magneto. Actor Michael Fassbender stole the spotlight from every other actor as Erik Lehnsherr also known as Magneto. He was absolutely brilliant as a character and it showed that he took the role extremely seriously.
I didn’t care to see this movie at midnight. However, I did expect it to be really good. Why? Because when I heard about Hanna I was looking forward to seeing a Jason Bourne a la Mathilda from Leon: The Professional kick some ass as Hanna. Which by the way, Natalie, if you’re reading this… you should seriously consider the role of Mathilda when director Luc Besson comes a knocking again… ’cause you know he will.
Due out in the summer of 2012, the Spider-Man series will be rebooted. Featuring a new cast and a new director, this incarnation is hoping to be truer to the Spidey series. In addition to setting an atmosphere similar to the rebooted Batman series, this movie will be based around the Ultimate Spider Man series.
First off, let me just say one thing. If you haven’t seen Moon, stop right now, get on Netflix and watch it. It will blow your mind and it will give you a better understanding of where Director Duncan Jones is coming from. Having not known anything about the movie (I hadn’t even seen a trailer for it,) I was pleasantly surprised when I saw it. So go watch it.
Over the weekend, it was announced that Amy Adams (36) will be our new Lois Lane. Amy Adams won our hearts in Enchanted and Doubt, but more recently she starred in a very memorable role as Charlene Fleming in 2010′s The Fighter, where she was even nominated as Best Supporting Actress.
Sucker Punch did exactly that; It suckered me in and then punched me square in the jaw. Obviously that is not a good thing. Without giving too much of the plot away, I will say this. Sucker Punch played like a story within a story within a story. Wait… Didn’t we all see that movie last year? And didn’t we actually like it? And that movie didn’t need scantily-clad vixens without talent shooting monsters to prove it was a good movie… Just good ol’ Leo showing us all what Inception could do to our minds.
Entertainment Tonight popped out this little tidbit of trailer awesomeness earlier today. Let your eyes be dazzled!
I wiggled myself in between two tall hairy guys with glasses at the long line for the midnight showing of Battle: Los Angeles Thursday night. I was the only other girl in line apart from the scary looking girl at the front who looked pissed off at her boyfriend who had decided to arrive 1 hour early. It had been awhile since I had decided to come to a midnight showing of a movie. The last two movies I had watched at midnight were a bust. One was ruined by a noisy crowd and a thunderstorm outside the theater causing the lights to go on and off. The movie? The Dark Knight.
