About Michelle

DSC_0055Michelle Iracheta is a journalism student at the Jack J. Valenti School of Communication at the University of Houston. She’s an intern at the Houston Chronicle’s city desk under Metro Editor Tony Freemantle. She is also a staff writer at The Daily Cougar, UH’s student-run newspaper. She has interned at Houston Public Media’s Houston Matters, a public affairs show that airs weekdays on News 88.7, NPR’s Houston affiliate. Once upon time she had her own tech show on Mi Casa Broadcasting network called The State of Techsus.

Aside from print and broadcast reporting, Michelle regularly contributes to Concept Art World, a magazine-style website dedicated to the digital art community. She serves as the Senior Coordinator at CAW and is always on the lookout for new artistic talent. She loves to meet new people and tell their stories.

Michelle is an avid news junkie. She’s passionate about international headlines as well as her first love, tech news. She can talk about new phones for hours.
